Divider

The Divider option in Optionia helps you visually organize your product options by separating different sections of the option form. It is especially useful for stores with multiple customization choices, making the layout cleaner and easier for customers to understand.

You can customize the divider’s style, size, color, and alignment to match your store’s design.

Here’s a Step-by-Step Guide to Adding a Divider to Your Store:

Step 1: Go To The Add Options

You can add the Divider option to either a new or an existing option set. You can learn to create a new option set in another part. For now, we will discuss how to add a Divider option to an existing option set.

  • Go to an existing option set.

  • Click the Edit option to open it.

  • Click the “Add options” button.

  • Select the “Divider” option under Static.

Step 2: Configure the Divider

After selecting the Divider option, you can customize its appearance according to your store’s requirements.

  • Line Style: Select the divider style you want to use from the dropdown menu.

  • Width: Adjust the width of the divider to control how much horizontal space it occupies.

  • Thickness: Set the thickness of the divider line.

  • Color: Choose a color that matches your store’s branding or complements the surrounding options.

  • Alignment: Set the divider’s alignment according to your preferred layout.

Save, Discard, and Delete

When editing an option, you can use Save, Discard, or Delete to manage your changes and the option.

  1. Save: Click Save to save all changes made to the option.

  2. Discard: Click Discard to cancel all unsaved changes and return to the last saved version.

  3. Delete: Click Delete to remove the option from the option set.

When to Use the Divider Option

The Divider option can help create a clear visual separation between different groups of product options. You can use it:

  • Between major customization sections.

  • After a heading to visually define a new section.

  • Before an important group of options.

  • Between unrelated option groups to make the form easier to scan.

  • In long option forms to create a cleaner and more organized layout.

Apply Option set to options

After configuring your Text option, you need to assign the Option Set to the products where you want the text field to appear.

You can find Product Assignment at the bottom of the Option Set.

  • All Products: Select All Products to apply the Option Set to all products in your store.

  • Manually Select Products: Select Manually Select Products when you want to choose specific products to which the Option Set should be applied.

  • Select Products with Conditions:  Select Products with Conditions when you want to apply the Option Set based on specific product conditions automatically.

You can use the available conditions to determine which products should receive the Option Set.

Important:  Each Optionia option includes advanced styling with custom CSS. The text option is no different; you can find the advanced styling option at the bottom.

Note: When you create or edit the Option Set, it’s saved as a draft and is only visible in your dashboard. Change the status from draft to active to ensure visibility. You can see the status option right next to the Option Set title.

Once the Option Set is active and properly assigned, the Divider will appear on the relevant product pages.
